Hope you all might know that July 4th has been celebrated as US Independence day. Since it fell on tuesday we got a long weekend for 4 days. On July 4th evening, we had been to Seattle to watch Independence day fireworks show. It was performed at the middle of a lake and people gathered in a park near to the lake to watch the show. All the streets near to the park were jam packed and we struggled a lot to find a place to park our car. It took us more than 45 mins to park our car (also we paid 10$ :-( for that ).
As usual SUN waved 'tata' only at 9:30PM and sunlight was there till 10PM. Naama enga ponaalum kaiya veesitu thaana povoem. 9 manikku mela bayangarama kulir adika aarmbichiduchu, apuram enna enga pal ellam type adika aaraambichiduchu. Aana namma america makkal irukaangale chair, drinks, saapda thevayaana food, pothika porvai ellam konduvandhu 6 manike settle aayi irundhaanga. Indhula enna advantage-na, pakkathula naraya figures irundhadhala time ponadhe theriyala :-).
Finally the event started at 10:20PM. Oru helicopter US flag-a parakka vitutu andha lake-a oru round vandhudhu, plus one focus light from the park pointing to the flag....wow....DTS theatre-la trailor paarkara effect....adhukkappuram fireworks start pannunaanga. This was my first time to see fireworks and it was a wonderful treat to my eyes. Around 25 mins, different colours-la fireworks. Naan malaithu poi annaarndhu paarthutu rasichutu irundhen. Square, circulare, spherical, star, heart, galaxy, falls (silver & gold colours), fountains....innum pala vagayaana forms-la fireworks panni irundhaanga. It was worth waiting in the cold to watch this colourful show (ponnungalayum sethukonga ;-))
